Regular Programs

Daily Prayer

Daily at 4:30 AM and 6:00 PM
Daily morning and evening prayer rituals are conducted at the monastery. These prayers include mantra chanting, meditation, and offerings. All devotees are welcome to participate.

Morning Prayer
The morning prayer includes Buddha homage, mantra chanting, and meditation. It begins at 4:30 AM and lasts for approximately one hour.

Evening Prayer
The evening prayer includes Buddha homage, mantra chanting, and prayers. It starts at 6:00 PM and lasts for about one hour.


Weekly Meditation

Every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
A group meditation program is organized every Saturday at the monastery. Various meditation techniques are taught and practiced. People of all ages are welcome to participate.

Meditation Guidance
Experienced meditation teachers provide instruction on different meditation techniques. Beginners are taught basic meditation practices.

Group Meditation
After the instruction, all participants meditate together. This session lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Q&A Session
After meditation, participants can share their experiences and ask questions. Guidance is provided by the meditation teachers.


Buddhist Education Classes

Every Sunday and Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Buddhist education classes are conducted regularly at the monastery. These classes cover Buddhist philosophy, history, and practice. People of all ages are welcome.

Sunday Class
Focuses on Buddhist philosophy and history. Open to all age groups.

Wednesday Class
Focuses on Buddhist practice and meditation. Open to all age groups.


Community Service

First Saturday of every month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
The monastery organizes community service programs every month. Activities include cleaning campaigns, tree plantation, and other social services. Volunteers are welcome.

Cleaning Campaign
Volunteers clean the monastery premises and surrounding areas, contributing to environmental protection.

Tree Plantation
Tree plantation programs are organized depending on the season to support environmental conservation and beautification.

Other Service Activities
Other community services such as visits to old age homes, support to orphanages, and similar activities are conducted as needed.


Special Programs

Saga Dawa Festival

Jestha (Buddha Purnima)
Saga Dawa is an important Buddhist festival commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha. Special rituals, meditation retreats, teachings, and cultural programs are organized.

Thousands of devotees including local residents, officials, and international visitors participate. The monastery is decorated with colorful flags and lights during the festival.


Losar Festival

Magh/Falgun (Tibetan New Year)
Losar is celebrated as the Tibetan New Year with rituals, cultural programs, and feasts. Traditional dances, songs, and games are performed.

The monastery is specially decorated, and traditional foods are prepared during the celebration.


Guru Purnima

Ashar (Full Moon)
Guru Purnima is celebrated to honor spiritual teachers. Special rituals, respect ceremonies, and teachings are organized. Devotees express gratitude and receive blessings.


Cham Dance

Poush Month
Cham is a sacred Buddhist ritual dance performed by monks wearing traditional costumes and masks representing deities. It holds deep spiritual and cultural significance.

A large number of locals and tourists attend. A fair is also held with traditional food and handicrafts.


Meditation Retreat Programs

Various meditation retreats are organized at the monastery. Participants can learn and practice Buddhist meditation, mantra chanting, and spiritual disciplines. Retreats range from one day to one month.

Advance registration is required. Accommodation and meals are provided. Programs are led by experienced teachers.


One-Day Retreat

Held every third Saturday of the month. Focuses on basic meditation techniques. Suitable for beginners.

Schedule:
6:00–7:00 AM: Opening prayer and chanting
7:00–8:00 AM: Breakfast
8:00–10:00 AM: Meditation instruction and practice
10:00–10:30 AM: Tea break
10:30–12:00 PM: Meditation
12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch
1:00–3:00 PM: Dharma teaching
3:00–3:30 PM: Tea break
3:30–5:00 PM: Meditation
5:00–6:00 PM: Closing prayer


Three-Day Retreat

Held every three months. Includes various meditation techniques. Suitable for intermediate practitioners.


One-Week Retreat

Held every six months. Focuses on intensive meditation and Buddhist teachings. Suitable for experienced participants.


One-Month Retreat

Held once a year. Includes deep meditation, teachings, and spiritual practice. Suitable for highly experienced practitioners.

Youth Programs

The monastery organizes various programs for youth to promote Buddhist education, moral values, and positive lifestyles.


Children’s Buddhist Class (Ages 5–12)

Teaches Buddhist stories, moral lessons, and simple meditation.
Every Saturday: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM


Teen Buddhist Class (Ages 13–18)

Teaches Buddhist philosophy, meditation, and life skills.
Every Saturday: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM


Buddhist Art Class

Includes Thangka painting, sculpture, and other Buddhist arts.
Every Sunday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM


Buddhist Music Class

Teaches chants, hymns, and musical instruments.
Every Friday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM


Youth Camp (Ages 13–25)

Residential programs including meditation, yoga, and activities.
During summer and winter vacations


Youth Volunteer Program (Ages 16–25)

Involves community service and monastery support activities.
